ख्रिष्टमसको विषयमा शुरुवात देखि नै बहस र टिका टिप्पणी हुँदै आएको पाउँछौ।कत्तिले ख्रिष्टमस बाइबलमा उल्लेख छैन, यो अबाइबलिय हो, ख्रिष्टमस मनाउनेहरु झुटा हुन भनेर पनि भन्न भ्याएका छन्।ख्रिष्टमस भनेको संसारको मुक्तिदाता प्रभु येशूख्रिष्टको जन्मोत्सव हो, येशू ख्रिष्टको जन्मको बारेमा प्रष्टसँग बाइबलमा लेखिएको छ, यो उत्सव मनाउनु बाइबलिय नै हो भन्ने तार्किक्ता निकै बलियो र मत पनि विश्वमा ठुलै संख्यामा रहेको छ। ऐतिहासिक पृष्ठभुमिलाई हेर्दा ख्रिष्टमस अर्थात येशू प्रभुको जन्मको मितिको सम्बन्धमा पहिलो शताब्दीमा खासै कुनै वहस छलफल भएको पाइदैन।दोस्रो र तेस्रो शताब्दीमा प्रारम्भिक ख्रिष्टियन लेखक, इश्वरशास्त्री, चर्च समुदाय र इतिहासकारहरुले जनवरी-6,मार्च-21,25 लगायत 10 भन्दा बढी मितिहरु प्रस्ताव गरेको देखिन्छ।तर चौथो शताब्दीमा पोप जुलियसको प्रस्तावमा ई.स.336 डिसेम्बर 25 मा तत्कालिन रोमी सम्राट कन्सटान्टाइनले कानुनी अर्थात आधिकारिक रुपमा ख्रिष्ट जन्मोत्सव, ख्रिष्टमस मनाउने घोषणा गरेका थिए।यसरी ख्रिष्टमसको शुरुवात भएसँगै बिभिन्न कालखण्डमा ख्रिष्टमस मनाउने तरिकामा केही थपिदै र स्वरुपमा परिमार्जन हुँदै आएको पाईन्छ।अहिले २१ औं शताब्दीमा आईपुग्दा यसको महत्व र लोकप्रियता झन व्यापकरुपमा बढ्दै गैरहेको छ। नेपालको सन्दर्भमा हेर्दा केही वर्ष अघिसम्म केवल ख्रिष्टियनहरुको चर्च भवन भित्र मात्र सिमित हुने गरेको ख्रिष्टमस अहिले सबै जाति र समुदायको साझा भएको र सबैले प्रत्यक्ष र अप्रत्यक्षरुपमा मनाउन थाली सकेको छ।अब हाम्रो देशमा पनि ख्रिष्टमस धार्मिक रुपमा मात्र नभएर सामाजिक रुपमा प्रवेश गरिसएको कुरा नकार्न सकिदैन।आज हामीले हेर्यौ भने १ महिना अगाडि देखि नै गाँउघर, शहर बजार, होटेल, रेष्टुरेन्ट र सपिङ्ग सेन्टर जताततै ख्रिष्टमसको रमझम, सजावट र ख्रिष्टमस सम्बन्धि समाग्री किनबेच भै राखेका देख्न सक्छौ।जसले गर्दा ख्रिष्टमसको महत्व र व्यापकता बढेको पुष्टि हुन्छ। ख्रिष्टमसको विषयमा बाइबलिय आधार के छ भन्ने कुरा (लुका २:१-२० र मत्ती १:१८-२५)ले प्रष्ट पार्दछ।आजभन्दा २०२५ वर्ष अगाडि यरुशलेम शहरको बेथलेहेम गाउँमा दाउदको शहरमा कन्या मरियमको गर्भबाट मानव रुपमा गाईको गोठमा येशू जन्मिनु भएकै हो, जसको जन्म अचानक वा संयोगले भएको थिएन, पुरानो नियमको सयौं भविष्यवाणी अनुसार परमेश्वरको हजारौ वर्षको योजना अनुरुप भएको थियो।परमेश्वरको यो महान योजना सारा मानवजातिको मुक्तिको निमित्त थियो।(उत्पत्ति ३:१५, यूहन्ना ३:१६) परमेश्वरको महान योजना पुरा गर्न मानवको रुपमा जन्मिनु भएको महान व्यक्ति येशु ख्रिष्टको जन्मोत्सव मनाउनु नै ख्रिष्टमस हो।यही ख्रिष्टमसले विश्वको इतिहासलाई दुई भागमा बिभाजित गरिदिएको छ।BC र AD को समयलाई जोड्ने काम गरेको छ। येशू जन्मिनु भएको कुरा बाइबल धर्म्शास्त्रले प्रमाणित गर्छ भने ख्रिष्टमस मनाउनु कसरी झुटो र अबाइबलिय हुन्छ ? मिति र समयको विषयमा फरक मत हुन सक्ला, मनाउने नमनाउने आत्मानिर्णयको कुरा होला तर झुटा भन्नु कदाचित बाइबलिय हुदै होइन।बरु ख्रिष्ट जन्मको पहिलो सुसमाचार स्वर्गदुतद्वारा पाउने ति गोठालाहरुले सुनाएको त्यो सुसमाचार (प्रेरित १:८) अनुसार आज पृथ्विको पल्लो छेउसम्म फैलाउन र (मत्ती २८:१८-२०) सबै देशका जातिलाई चेला बनाउने महान आज्ञा पुरा गर्नलाई यो ख्रिष्टमस अतुलनिय, बलियो र सबैभन्दा भरपर्दो माध्यम बनेको छ।यसलाई जतिसक्दो खर्चिलो र भड्किलो नबनाई भरपुर उपयोग र बिकास गर्न सक्नु नै बाइबलिय सत्यता हो।ख्रिष्टमसले परमेश्वरको ईच्छा (यूहन्ना ३:१६) पुरा गर्ने अभियानमा महत्वपुर्ण भुमिका खेलेको छ। ख्रिष्टमसको वास्तविक संदेश केवल एउटा संस्कार, एउटा उत्सव वा सांस्कृतिक परम्परा मात्र होइन, संसारमा मनाईने धेरै चाडहरु मध्येको एउटा चाडपर्व होइन, यो परमेश्वर द्वारा मानव इतिहासमा घटेको उहाँको अदभुत र अद्दितिय घटनाको रहस्य र स्मरण हो।यो परमेश्वरको प्रेम, नम्रता, मिलाप र आशाको संदेश हो। प्रेम:- प्रेमलाई व्यवहारमा उतार्नुहोस, केवल भावनामा होइन, किनकी असल कार्य, दया, र क्षमामा मात्र प्रेम जीवित रहन्छ। नम्रता:- नम्रतामा जीउन सिक्नुहोस, घमण्ड त्याग्नु, बिनम्र हुनु, दैनिक जीवनमा आफु घट्नु र येशूलाई बढ्न दिनु , किनकी नम्रहरुले पृथ्विको अधिकार गर्नेछ। मिलाप:- मिलाप खोज्नुहोस, टुटेको सम्बन्ध जोड्नु, अनावश्यक कटुता हटाउनु, शान्तिको मार्ग रोज्नु किनकी येशू मिलाप गराउन आउनु भयो, हामी पनि मिलाप गर्न बोलाइएकाहरु हौ।मिलाप आत्माको उपचार हो।ख्रिष्टमस मिलापको मुल हो। आशा:- आशा बाड्नुहोस, भविष्य भाग्यमा होइन, ख्रिष्टको आज्ञामा छ, कर्ममा होइन परमेश्वरको प्रतिज्ञामा छ। निराशाको संसारमा बाँचीरहेकाहरुलाई आशा बाँडौ। हामी सबैको लागि ख्रिष्टमस साँचो, बाइबलिय, परमेश्वरको प्रेम, नम्रता, मिलाप, आशा र जीवनको संदेश बन्न सकोस । सबैमा ख्रिष्टमसको शुभकामना ! पाष्टर राम शरण श्रेष्ठ

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, we hosted a powerful and insightful One-Day Church Sound Training that brought together volunteers, sound techs, and worship leaders committed to enhancing the worship experience through better audio production. Held at Ekata Milap Church, this training wasn’t just about turning knobs and setting up microphones—it was about stewardship, excellence, and creating a distraction-free environment where people can encounter God. The day was structured to balance theory, hands-on learning, and live demonstrations. Here’s a quick look at the key topics: Understanding the Role of Sound in Worship Signal Flow and System Setup Microphone Techniques (for vocals, instruments, and ambient mics) Gain Staging and EQ Basics Mixing for Live Worship: Balancing the Band and Vocals Feedback Elimination and Noise Control Troubleshooting Common Sound Issues Using Digital Mixers and Scene Presets Who Attended We were thrilled to welcome a mix of new volunteers, experienced sound engineers, and even pastors and worship leaders who wanted a better understanding of the audio side of ministry. The collaborative spirit was strong—many shared real-life challenges from their churches, leading to practical discussions and peer learning. Hands-On Experience A highlight of the day was the live mixing lab, where attendees got to apply what they’d learned using real gear. We split into teams and rotated through stations covering mic setup, gain structure, EQ adjustment, and mixing a live worship session.
